"B" or "C" springs
I have a daily driver, 95' GT Conv. that I need some advise on. I want to change it's stance a little, but not change the ride characteristics too much. I know I will be getting a set of the FRPP springs, but I can't decide between the "b" or "c". I have a set of the "c" on my '86 and the ride height is perfect, but since it has so many miles and a somewhat different suspension geometry I cannot use it as a guide for the '95, and I have never felt what the "b" are like. What would you guyd recommend?

I have "C" springs and the ride is a little bit harsher than stock(B)springs, however, in my opinion they are worth it for the extra handling they provide.
Plus your SN-95 convert weighs more anyway so that might make the ride a little better than mine. ------------------ 1991 GT, AOD, Moroso Cold Air, 3.73s, Pulleys, 3-chamber(the left one fell off-NO time+No Money=College), FMS c-springs, and KYBs |

I love my C springs, but you have to have the rear springs cut one coil to even the ride out...no big deal. It definitely helps to have a stiffer spring up front, but it's not harsh at all with my Tokicos.

The "C" are excellent a bit harsh in front but not too much. "C" are 600front and 250-300 rear. If not try H&R that has variable rate springs and doesn't have to be cut. But for my personal experiences avoid eibach.
I'm not sure but, maybe in the convertible they have not to be cut. lito ------------------ 92GT,SOLO RACER, COBRA BRAKES, R1 TIRES, GT40, GT40X HEADS 58CC, 24LBS, 70MM/65MM, E303, 4.10, MANY ROAD RACE MODS, CORVETTE, CAMARO, RX7 AND SUPRA SOLO EVENT EATER www.killersracing.com www.clubcopa.com |

Just put the "B" springs on about a week ago.. pretty happy with the mild drop it gives and can hardly tell any diff. in the ride except for the better handling. the front springs are progressive rate unlike the the specific rate on the "C"

I can email you a pic of my 95 with "C" springs on it if you want. The other guy is right, it wouldn't kill me to take a coil out of the rear. I put mine in recently and I'm trying to see what they settle to before I cut the rears. Your Vert might sit a little lower, due to the extra weight.

I have the 'b' springs in my 90 convert, and the back is a little bit highter. If I really cared, I would cut it, but it isn't htat much of a difference. The ride is a little harsher, it sits an inch or so lower, but handles enumerately better. I also can't go down the driveway into my parents garage b/c of the slope, the cats scrape like you wouldn't believe.

-Yes the "C" are 650, sorry my mistake
-There is not too many H&R springs for conv... -Rear should be a little taller than front always. So don't cut them tooo much. lito ------------------ 92GT,SOLO RACER, COBRA BRAKES, R1 TIRES, GT40, GT40X HEADS 58CC, 24LBS, 70MM/65MM, E303, 4.10, MANY ROAD RACE MODS, CORVETTE, CAMARO, RX7 AND SUPRA SOLO EVENT EATER www.killersracing.com www.clubcopa.com |

The B springs often settle in at more than 1" (sometimes 2")... supposedly not a problem with the C's.
I've got the B's... and wish I got the C's (supposedly far better handling with only mild ride consequences). |

My Cs were cut 1 1/2 in the rear. I can send a pic too if anyone wants it, or the same pic is in the users rides section.
