Do a search on double clutching. I think PKRWUD posted a great explanation. It's something you do if you don't have synchros or your synchros are on the way out. It's not a ricer thing although ricers think they need to do it since The Fast and the Furious is their bible. It's definitely something you should NOT do during a drag race.
