go with 1.7's unless you plan on ever getting a cam for it.
They are good with a stock cam, or a mild one like the B303 I have. But they do cause more stress on the valvetrain. Most cam companies tell you the lift with 1.6 rockers and thats what they are originally designed for. If I had to do it over again, I'd get 1.6's and just go a little more aggressive on the cam. hope this helps, -Drew
