![]() why don't you get an FM modulated CD changer
I'm sure almost all major stereo manufacturers make them. You can get ones that hold 6, 10, or 12 CD's (and probably more now and depending on the manufacturer), The CD signal goes through an FM station on your stock deck I had one in my pickup I used to have, it was a Kenwood unit and worked very well you can mount the display in that ugly hole you are talking about, you'll probably need to make some sort of mount for it but the display is light so it won't have to support much weight if you want to keep the stock cassette deck, I say this is one of the very few options you have and it should work good for you. this is what I did I few years ago with my pickup
