Just my opinion, but considering the importance of proper oil level readings, and the likeliness that a piece of copper tubing probably looks like crap, along with the fact that your car has the potential to spark "collectors interest" due to it being an 82 GT and the increased value that might go with that, I think I would come off the $30.00 for a new one.
To avoid this problem in the future, it helps to remove the tube when installing headers, then re-install the tube after the headers are installed. Good luck |
