I imagine you could do it if you found a set in really good condition but I would say you would be better off getting new ones. The less of a chance of you having to get in the rearend for a while and trust me its a headache. I say go with Ford Racing gears if you decide to go with the new ones. I payed 180.00 for mine from summit racing. I've heard there the best way to go.
