Headers allow the engine to "breathe" better by allowing more exhaust to escape and reduce back pressure.
They won't do you much good unless you buy a 2.5 inch exhaust and muffler system to go with that H pipe.
I, myself wouldn't recommend Mac H pipe. I would suggest pace-setter or something besides Mac. I heard too many horror stories about Mac stuff.
