So you were wrong and you lied to get out of a ticket. You also mislead a judge/court into believing that the officer gave you an improper citation. The guy may be an @$$ but, he was right. I can't say that I agree with the tactics. If the guy gave you a ticket and he was wrong then by all means, get the ticket quashed. However, to lie, cheat and otherwise besmirch the officers reputation was, in my opinion, wrong.

What you have done is convince whomever was in that courtroom that officers are not to be trusted. After all, the officer you "made look like an ***" was a lier right?
