Another thing to take note on is the fact that since your battery is in the trunk the negative cable is no longer connected right to the block and you are now relying on a very thin braided cable(on the back of your drivers side head) to ground the motor to the chassis which the alt. needs to charge your battery(especially if you have a big stereo system).
