![]() Not to undermind you, but did you instal the stat correctly, people mess this one up all the time, also does the fluid actually boil, or is your gauge giving you bad readings, air bubbles, and i mean serious air bubbles can cause it, try draining the system and start over, also a 160 stat is not good, its open all the time, never allowing coolant to stay in the rad long enough to cool. Try that.
