It is ON the distrubutor. It is about 4 inches long and has a plug that goes into the front of it. It plugs directly into the distributor. I think you will need a small socket to get it out, and it might need a flat head to pry off. You will also need to retime your car, because I don't think you can get it off without loosening the distributor.
