I've run a HV pump, but have gone back to a stock volume pump. The HV would suck my Canton pan dry of 6 quarts by the big end and really didn't provide any benefit. I just don't see a need in it if all your clearances are set up correctly to insure good oiling. The HV will just pump extra oil to the top of the motor and drag down the motor with the extra power needed to pump the extra volume.
