Thanks for the idea, but the crackle is coming from inside the exhaust system... I know what exhaust leaks sound like, and this is something different. I installed the tailpipes this morning, and the sound is still present, but it is subdued now. I guess that big turn over the axles tones the sound down some, not to mention the added length of pipe. I guess that's why I never noticed it before.
