According to my book, MUSATANG by Randy Leffingwell, the 1978 King Cobra came with:

1.) Front air dam
2.) Hood scoop
3.) Rear deck lid spoiler
4.) Black grille
5.) King Cobra logos
6.) Paint graphics
7.) Slightly better suspension
8.) Previously mentioned 302
ane 4 speed.

It was a $1277 option. Many were painted bright red, but the full color line-up was available.
