i dont know how much money you want to spend but you will be spending over $5000. when building an engine you get what you pay for. if you try and be a little cheap you will have a poorly built short block or cut other corners. the short block i'm building now cost $2,900 and thats using a stock crank and only 306 inches. i dont know if anyone could build a strong short block for $800-rods and pistons alone will set you back that much... basically i would run really fast from a $800 short block
