![]() The 'Mexican ' block being stronger (due to higher nickle content) is somewhat of a myth but if you want to go hunting for one the letters MF are by the distributor hole. The 'F' is made by attaching the two horizontal lines to the last vertical line of the 'M' and the words: 'Hecho en Mexico' are stamped in the lifter valley also.
Again, I don't think it's worth the trouble as a main girdle, ARP bolts and a well-balanced assembly should handle 500 + HP in a 302 block, but since you asked, I thought I would offer the information I had handy. |
