I think the hi-amp alternator is a good idea, but I have underdrive pulleys, electric fan, and a decent stereo, and quite a few extra electric gauges and have had no charging problems at all with my factory rated alt. I do have march's pulleys with the smaller alt. pulley to speed it back up, so maybe thats the difference?
