A long time ago, I learned to always take my own car everywhere I went. There were many examples as to why:

1.) The time on a road trip when my best friend and his GF got into a screaming argument for most of a day with my wife and me as passengers in the back seat.

2.) When my friend wanted to go to one more spot when I just wanted to go home and crash.

3.) When I wanted to go to one more spot and my friend wanted to go home and crash.

4.) When I was stuck in the back seat of a Cadillac with a drunken idiot doing suicidal things on the freeways of Houston on New Years Eve.

Trust me, always take your own car.
