Why is this? Are they scared of 25 year old vehicles?
MM&FF is a main sponsor of the series and they cater to the fox body cars that is why the showdown classes are limited to the 79 and newer cars. Just like the modular class is now limited to only Mustangs that orginally came with a mod motor because Team brand Mustang is sponsoring the class not team brand F150/Crown Vic/Expedition/etc...

Feel free to sponsor the series and then I'm sure you'll have more pull in what cars you allow as well as motor combinations.
