are drag rad.(bfgs, nittos) to much for my stock 28 spline axles cause I am sick of these crappy 60ft so when I get the cash I would like to get some real tires but I dont want to put them on and go out and break a axle and have to pay 250$ to have my ride towed home from the strip.
Just a reality check here not trying to be a wiseguy, but if you are worried about breaking any part you are in the wrong sport,if you are not running hard because you are not maxing out your equipment, enough on that.

89LX said it best,it is a crap-shoot with any sticky tire and an aggressive launch,I broke an axle on the street in a 82 GT 4-speed with Michelin TRX tires on it go figure.

To answer your question,Drag Radials are a little more forgiving then slicks, but once again it is a crap-shoot.

Good luck and 250 dollars for towing? I would push it first.
