Unplugging an injector absolutely works. On my car I set the base to about 7, lowered the fp as low as it would go, ran 87 octane gas, pulled one fuel injector, and got the cats as hot as I could (I did all the adjustments in the parking lot before getting in line). The blower whine and exhaust was shaking the entire dmv garage and people were looking at me like I was nuts for trying to bring it through. They hooked it up the sniffer and two of the readings came up zero...They didnt know what hit them
Pulling an injector definitely helped. You just have to pull one that they won't see.
