I have 245/45/17s on a 9" rim, and they look good. They may look better on 17x8" but I don't know. I also have 275/40/17s on back, and the 245s look better as far as the tire to wheel width. The 245s do rub on full turns, but it's easy to not make them rub. (don't turn all the way!!!)
