Funny you should mention the spacers. The factory tech at Gateway said the same thing and showed me the spacers on their mock up intake. This was in response to my asking about distributor clearance.
Depending on the which kit you purchase you could pay between $1100-1600 on a fuel system. Check out the kits at http://www.aeromotiveinc.com/ In case your wondering about Cartech or Paxton pumps being better, Aeromotive MFG these products for them.
