Does it have a secondary electric fuel pump inline?
If it's carbed it doesn't have an electric fuel pump to hear. You said one of the plugs was black, or fouled? Black indicates rich running, fouled would be wet. Sounds to me like it's flooded. Definately put some new spark plugs in that thing. Try popping the throttle plate wide open manually, without using the pedal, then turn it over. That should help it start if it's flooded. As far as the slow turn over, it could be a bad starter, or battery. |
