what are they going to do, kick someone out who is paying them money on time? If your friend already has the appt. secured in his name, then the rental company has no say in it. I'm only 21 and have had to deal with a**hole managers since 17. My roommate is 30, and has great credit. We put the appt. in his name, and I paid the rent for my half. The manager soon realized what was going on, but by that time, I had already paid 3 months of rent on time. I think your friend might be making excuses for some reason.
