As basic, you mean not supercharger??? You can put on a bigger throttle body (70mm), and bigger MAF (80mm), you can do pulleys, you can do gears (no, stock is like 2.73 or something), you can do electrical (chip, ignition, spark plugs and wires), and you can also mess with the suspension and control arms for smoother rides. Mustangs are notoriously easy to bolt on 500 horsepower, depending on the amount of money you are willing to spend. Check out Hammer's user ride or 98steedaGt's user ride. I've read both of those and they have done most any kinda mod you can imagine. If you want to know what to do to a car, look at theirs. As far as the warranty...like I said, mine's topped 50K miles, so I wouldn't know what was on a warranty.
