![]() I've been wondering if anyone actually has a real answer to this question for a while. When you remove your smog pump, and the computer starts throwing codes about thermactor stuff, does the computer make performance suffer? Some friends with chevys have said that their computers will pull back timing and basically run like crap. Has anyone actually checked this? Or better yet, has anyone dynoed before removing smog, while no codes are shown, and then dynoed after removing it when codes are shown? Thanks. I'm considering removing my smog pump too, but am not sure if I want to yet.
