for a temp fix it will work

when I'm doing a job like that I usually expect the car to be down, make sure I have everything I need and just do the job over a weekend and get it done, no pissing around.

I don't think I would waste my time with a 2.3 tranny to just pull it again and reinstall a rebuilt 5.0 tranny

and RoadWarrior, I think you found a good one. Some of them will let go in no time at all
I hope it holds up at the track or is atleast goes out with a bang, hope you are trailering the car to the track
