You should have gotten a copy of win98 if that was preloaded. I would call your computer store and yell at them. What kind of burner is in there? A lot of OE burners are crap, which may be your first problem. Turn off your virus software if you have it and I never run anything but my burning software when I'm writing a cd.
I use Roxio and easy CD creator. They are about 90% sucsessful. Also, burners don't work well hot. Get some decent software to start, and let us know what happens. By the way, what kind of computer is it (and speed stuff too)?
