![]() The 1970 BOSS 429 was a true hemi engine. It had a solid cam with a .509" lift, and 300 degrees duration. The heads had huge 2.280" intake valves and 1.90" exhaust valves. The rocker arms were different ratios, though, with the intake rockers being 1.65:1, and the exhaust's being 1.76:1. It came with an aluminum dual plane intake, and a 735cfm Holley four barrel. The block had 4 bolt main caps, except for the number 5 cap, which was 2 bolts. The pistons gave it a compression ratio of 10.5:1.
