My teacher in school added a potentiometer to the ECT circuit in his mustang. He goes to the drag strip all the time (he's the points leader in his bracket racing division) but i don't know if/or how much HP it added. He's also messed with the air intake temp sensor a little bit. He has the potentiometer in his glove box....pretty cool idea.
He says he did it for consistancy and tunability.
