I really don't understand the point of deleting A/C unless you have a non daily driver. When the A/C is turned off there is no load on that pulley, so it presents about as much restriction as an idler pulley. Also, it only weighs like what 20lbs tops. It seems worth it to me to keep that 20lbs and have A/C when you want it.
