Default Transmission

Hi, I have a 99' Contour with the four banger and automatic trans. The trans is starting to slip and I want to know if anyone knows the proper procedure to adjust the bands.

I don't think your contour has any adjustment regarding "bands". Your tranny is new tech, and likely needs to be checked at a dealer (Gasp) prepare to part with a lot of bucks, the electronic analysis on our 94 stang was over $150.00 Cdn. If you know of a reliable tranny shop, I'd suggest you have them road test it for ya. And as I think of it have you checked the level lately? Sounds simple, but you'd be suprised at how many people don't and the first sign of low fluid is often slippage.
