Yup the 93 - 97 Z-28's have the LT-1 motor and will run low 14's stock, the auto cars are only a tick slower than the 6 speeds with either the LS-1 or LT-1, not the same performance drop seen with a AOD.

You should be able to make a "stock appearing" Mustang run about as fast as the Z-28, be aware that the LT-1 still pulls pretty strong, just not as good as a LS-1. I've driven my brothers 94 Caprice Cop car and that tank (4200 Lbs) moves pretty good.

My brand new bone stock 91 LX Hatch ran 14.89 with the 5 speed and 3.08 gears and the 16" michelien tires FWIW about the same time that Motor Trend got with a similar 92 I will take some passes with the 90 notch soon
