The oil ring and the piston pin thing has been proven wrong. Can't remember where I read it but it said that oil problems were due to poor machine work and assembly (spelling?) and blamed it on the oil ring thing. Me and many others have 347's with the oil ring in the piston pin area and still have no oil problems.
