5-spd or auto?
If its a stick, you need to shift high, fast and hard to get rubber in 2nd. I wouldn't recommend doing it all the time as its really hard on the trans. When you hit second get out of the clutch as fast as you can. If you can't do it fast enough, side step it. But again, I don't recommned it.
