Since we are talking about it, it is possible to shift without the cluch, and not hurt the trans.

I don't recomend the following with ours, but if you get a hold of an econo-box show off for your friends..

The trans will slide right into gear if you pull out of gear, and match engine rpms to what they would be in the next gear. This way everything is spinning at the same speed and it will slide right in. Try this between 3 and 4 with a Civic, rolling at 35. Don't do it especially fast, just pull out and rest some pressure on the stick and watch it slide in.

Like I said, don't do this to your mustang. I've done it in other cars I've driven, and its a pretty cool trick.
