Questions about hoses connected to stock intake

Your first question was making me think too hard, so I'm going for the second one.

Also, there is a small metal tube that comes out from around behind the block on the passenger side. I think its connected to the heads and i think it may have run to the air pump. Well, whats the best way to close it off?

If you're not running the emissions junk, then block it off. On my TFS TW heads, I just called up TFS and they sent me these nice little screw plugs that fit perfectly into the back of the heads. Welding them shut would work too, but it's permanent.
