![]() The "direct Fit" wires for the 4.6's have always been a bit high, unless you want to buy the universal plugs and cut & fit the plugs yourself, and they are still close to 40 bucks or so. The ford plug wires for a 2V 4.6 were about 110 bucks back six months ago but have now came down. The bigger wires 9 - 10 mm are still in the 90 to 110 range. The Roush/ Steeda wires are probably made by someone else but a direct fit wire set for 50 bucks ( in red ) seemed like a good deal to me. If Accel sells a direct fit wire set for under 50 bucks than the local auto stores didn't know about it.
Also, these wires were the stock wire diameter, I understand you only need the bigger wires when you upgrade your distribution system. Is that correct?
