ditto

the stock intake is VERY restrictive if you have even a set of ported stock heads, let alone some GT40's or better

just to give you an idea of how it restricts a pretty heafty motor:

i went to a dyno session with a friend of a friend who had a GT with a 347stroker with ported edelbrock aluminum heads, TFS stage 2 cam among other goodies, but for some reason the guy that built the car put the STOCK intake on it.

This motor with a good intake would easily see 330-350hp to the wheels. Wanna take a guess at what it made with the stock intake?

227rwhp @ 4700rpm
286lbft @4000rpm

very very sad

we then bumped the timing from 10deg to 14 and picked up quite a bit, but still no where NEAR where it should be.

Is that enough to scare you out of the stock intake?
