You probably will have to format, that's usually the easiest way to solve a problem with windows. And why not upgrade to win98 while you're at it, so long as you're comp can handle it. If you have 95 right now WinXP is probably going to be too much for your computer. WinME is crap, I haven't talked to any system builders or gamers that prefered it over 98 or 2000.
