![]() What you describe has been part of the air bag control unit for some time, and not just on Fords. In fact i believe it went from very simple data recovery for the air bag mfg. to a little more detailed on the GM cars and trucks first.
It is scary what they can discern from that module, such as before an air bag deployment or even a near deployment... if you were on or off the throttle at that time or if you were on or off the brakes at that moment ... what your speed was ... how many times the engine has been started since the event etc. etc. .... and these little modules are getting more and more sophisticated by the day ! Big brother isn't coming folks hes here. This you can count on ... in the near future you'll either give your insurance company access to that data or you won't get insurance, i'll bet money on it. |
