 the cobra is a twin overhead cam car , the gt is a single overhead cam car, the cobra has more hp, yes it's worth the extra money, but imho dont care for the independant rear supension, too much wheel hop, might want to ck into a 99+ car better heads & intake, not downing the 96-98, but 99+ has better flowing heads & intake, good luck on your choice, i chose a gt because, im broke heheh.
