If you've taken your car to a dyno, and had it tuned, and tested on it before the car has gone through initial break-in, you have little room to complain about possible damage from some numbnutz punk SVT mechanic taking your car out for a 140mph joy ride. That being said, we don't know if the car was in the initial break in phase, not that it matters. Outside of the break in the engine will not be harmed from a "normal" 140mph run either. Now the way he operated the car during that run could be disputed. He may have overreved it, ground gears in the tranny, etc. He admitted he beat the hell out of the car, and that's why I feel there should be at least an extended warranty for free tacked on. |
