You're not going to get any spark in the plug unless you complete the circuit -- in other words, ground the plug. If you sit there and hold it, you won't see any spark jump in the gap, even if your coil works. Did you ground the plug? I'm just asking because I was in the same situation once... sat there and held the plug, not seeing any spark and thinking my coil was bad. Took a trip to the auto parts store where the people actually know what they're talking about to clue me in. |
