A couple years ago I had a customer with an '83 T-bird turbo, and he thought he blew the engine, so he got another t-bird turbo engine from an '87, and had me do the install.
The hardest part was all the sensors had different types of connectors, but with a little patience, in worked great. Even passed smog the first time out (that shocked me). If you are puting a turbo into a non turbo car, you need the turbo ECM, wiring harness, and sensors. They have different values (your vacuum doesn't do the ECM much good with boost!).
