Entrapment
I think you would have to prove the entrapment in court with witnesses, etc. It would come down to who the judge or jury believed. Also, one would need a lawyer in order to be sure you could get the entrapment into evidence. The cop didn't write a ticket anyway, so it's a moot point in this instance.
