I did this exact swap into an 86 capri. You are going to have to go with a 79 to (I believe) a 84 LTD. It seems that most of the 351W's went into the wagons. I dont think they put 351W's in the injected LTD's (85 - newer). Take the dipstick as well and the pulleys and brackets as the brackets on the 302 are different. I also got a double hump oilpan from a 83 van for a 351 into a 78 truck.(turned out that I didn't need it.
Don't forget, you can't use the 5.0 headers, they rub on the steering. Found that out the hard way. Jayson 93 GT |
