I believe most two inch body lifts do not require any serious mods.

Usually the only things Ive ran into are, steering shaft (longer) fan shroud cut for fan and sometimes hoses.

Body lifts are driveway projects. Get a sawsall, floor jack, some wood blocks,stands, beer and some good friends.

Maybe you can find a 78-79 straight front axle. Its a easy swap. Then you can go for 2 suspension and 2 body. Without driveshafts etc...
