I would definately recommend a set of BBK longtubes.

I actually helped a friend install a set of them today, and they went in alot easier than I thought they would. The fit and finish on them is great.

the advantage of longtubes over shorties is more torque throughout the RPM range. But the disadvantage is installation and price.

I have BBK unequal shorties on mine, and they are great headers. Good price and fit really well, but you just cant get the power out of them like you can with the longtubes.

If your car is mostly stock, I would recommend just staying with the stock headers for now. Put the money somewhere else, and you will be happy in the end.
